In the North of the Lot et Garonne nestled between the Dordogne and Gironde you will find two beautifully renovated gites (holiday cottages) each with a private pool for you to enjoy and make wonderful holiday memories. Come for a week or two, perhaps a short break in the low season. Located on a hill with panoramic views all around you overlooking the local village and view of Duras chateau.
Welcome
We would love to welcome you to our property. We moved here from the UK in June 2021 having decided to have another adventure before becoming too old. We spent a year lovingly renovating 'Les Rosiers' which opened in August 2022 and another 18months renovating the 2nd gite 'Les Oliviers' which opened in July 2024.
Although we live on site, we all have our privacy and space. Both gites have their own private gardens and parking. A great property that works equally well for families, adult groups or couples. Each gite has its own pool, outside lounge furniture and outside dining terrace. A few minutes drive to the local village with plenty of facilities including a bakery and grocery store. Relax at this peaceful piece of paradise.
The local area is full of vineyards, plum orchards, hazelnuts, walnuts and fields of sunflowers in the summer. Enjoy the natural environment: walk, bike canoe or horse ride. Discover a well-preserved heritage: visit the chateaux and the medieval villages. Savour the gourmet foods with the best wines. A region full of delights.
THE GITE WAS AMAZING
This gite is amazing, so I am simply going to list some of the features we enjoyed during our two week stay. The gite and surrounding land are spacious, fantastic private pool, amazing views, comfy outdoor seating area, well kept, beautiful outdoor space with lovely planting, spotless gite with everything you could possibly need, comfortable beds, easy access to pretty traditional French towns boasting cafes, restaurants and markets, near by supermarkets and a local boulangerie. The perfect place to relax and do nothing or to go out and explore. Sarah and Andrew are lovely hosts, friendly and helpful. Looking forward to a return trip.

WONDERFUL TIME
We had a wonderful time here and would not hesitate to recommend this property to others. The gite was amazing; it was so well-equipped and clean - the owners have literally thought of everything you could need for a relaxing stay. The outside area and space was so lovely too. We travelled as a family with 3 children and they all loved the pool area, badminton, space to play football and petanque - as did the adults! Beautiful views and the sunsets were out of this world. We loved spotting the International Space Station passing by on clear nights too. Plenty of areas to sit and relax/eat, both inside and out. Close to local villages, night markets and attractions such as canoeing and high ropes. The coast is approx 1hr 50 and it was worth the drive for a nice day out. Sarah and Andrew are great hosts and close by if ever needed. The home-grown veg was an added bonus! Overall an amazing holiday and we would definitely return. Thank you!

SPOTLESS ACCOMODATION
"Spotless accommodation, best equipped gite that we have ever stayed in.
Loved the private pool area and the beautiful views, if the weather had been hotter, I don't think we would have wanted to leave the pool area.
Nearby town of Duras was lovely, enjoyed the Market on the Monday and the Night Market, Duras has a lovely castle and reasonable priced cafes.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in a lovely gite.

WONDERFUL & FANTASTIC
We had a wonderful and fantastic stay at Sarah and Andrew’s place. The Gite is beautiful, the views are incredible, and the pool is perfect, all set in a beautiful location surrounded by fields, yet close to lovely little market towns. The views towards Levignac were fantastic and hearing the church bells on the hour. The roads in the area are very quiet, therefore facilitating morning or evening runs, if that is your thing! Sarah’s attention to details - she’s thought of every little thing you could need to make you feel truly at home - white towels and white bedsheets, all of the highest quality, all the kitchen bits you could need, great tv and Wi-Fi, and the comfy bed. Sarah and Andrew really were terrific hosts and very engaging, along with top tips of the nicest villages to visit. They are fantastic hosts - there if you need them, but very respectful of privacy. It’s a great location for day trips - Eymet / Monségur and Sarlat all very easy to reach,along with Duras!

We had an amazing time at this beautiful gite. Sarah was incredibly welcoming and generous in sharing many of her home grown fruit and vegetables. Exceptionally well equipped and pristine. Lots to do in the surrounding area - we loved the local night markets (marche gourmande).

ABSOLUTE GEM
We’ve been coming to south west France for 25 years and Sarah’s place is a real find and absolute gem which I’d highly recommend. It’s really well equipped, with lovely pool and in a great, peaceful hilltop location. Brilliant large outdoor space with nice seating area for a drink, book and to enjoy the view. Table tennis and badminton were a lot of fun. The house is comfortable and equipped and decorated to a really high standard. Saran and Andrew couldn’t have been more helpful and welcoming.

WE LOVED OUR STAY
"We loved our stay at La Rosiers. It looks beautiful in the pictures but in person it’s even better. Everything you need is here and it is such a welcoming, comfortable place to stay. The grounds are gorgeous with lots of spots to sit and relax and the pool is such a luxury with loungers and sunshades. All of the basics are done right, comfy beds and sofa’s, good quality bed linens and towels. The hosts, Sarah and Andrew are generous in so many ways; in terms of the supplies that are in the property, the time they have taken to produce a comprehensive guidebook to the house and area and with their time. We are contemplating buying somewhere in France and they were so generous and helpful with their time and benefit of their experiences. Communications were also excellent. Do not hesitate to book, you will love this place and the surrounding area.
